What does accounting software do for an ecommerce business?
Sales dashboards stop at revenue. A commerce business also needs to know what it kept after cost of goods, marketplace fees, shipping, payment charges and returns, what its stock is worth, and how much GST it owes.
The O2M Accounting section turns your orders, fees and stock movements into those numbers. Nothing is typed twice: revenue comes from your orders, cost of goods from the stock ledger, fees from the channels and the files you upload, and GST from O2M's invoices or the channel's own tax data.
Then your books go to your accountant. Export to Tally, or send bills, invoices, credit notes and journals straight to Zoho Books. O2M prepares clean figures, and your accountant uses them. Each page is enabled on its own.

Good numbers start with where the data comes from.
Profit on every order
A monthly total hides loss-making orders. Look for order-level profit.
Every fee itemised
Commission, shipping and payment fees should be separate lines.
Costs from the stock ledger
Cost of goods should come from real stock movements, not a typed figure.
GST kept out of profit
GST you charged belongs to the government, so it should not count as revenue.
Books your accountant can use
Check that the export suits Tally or Zoho Books and does not create duplicates.
Clear estimates
When a fee has not arrived yet, it should be marked as an estimate.
Accounting and GST: your questions answered.
Does this replace my accountant?
No. O2M prepares clean figures and books, and your accountant uses them.
Can I sync with Zoho Books?
Yes. Send bills, invoices, credit notes and journals straight to Zoho Books, or download a file.
Does it work with Tally?
Yes. Download a Tally XML file and import it. Importing the same period again updates those vouchers instead of adding them twice.
Does it support several GSTINs?
Yes. Exports and reports can follow each GSTIN.
Is GST part of revenue?
No. GST you charged buyers belongs to the government, so it is not part of revenue or profit.
When does an order count in profit?
With Warehouse Management, once it is dispatched. Without it, once it is delivered. Until then it waits under Awaiting delivery.
Does O2M file GST returns?
No. O2M prepares the data, and you or your accountant file the return.
