What is credit control?

Credit control is how a business decides who can buy on credit, how much they can owe, and how it collects on time. It depends on a customer ledger: a running record of every invoice, receipt and credit note for each customer.

In O2M the ledger builds itself from your invoices and receipts. Money owed lists every customer with a balance, split by how late it is, with their credit limit and last receipt. Open a customer to see their ledger and open invoices, record a receipt, or send a statement.

Set a credit limit and credit days on a customer, and a sale that goes over the limit waits on Credit holds until a store manager or admin approves it. Reminders are sent by you, when you choose.

Simple from the first day.

Step 1

Add balances

Enter what each customer owes you today.

Step 2

Set limits

Give each customer a credit limit.

Step 3

Follow up

See ageing, send statements and reminders.

Step 4

Collect

Record receipts, or collect through payment links.

What Customers and Credit does for you.

Credit that holds

Sales over the limit wait until a manager approves.

Faster collection

Payment links, virtual accounts and UPI QR through your own gateway.

Every customer's balance, always current.

See what each customer owes, how old it is, and every document behind the number.

Holds

A sale over the limit, or for a customer with overdue bills, waits on Credit holds.

Who approves

A store manager or admin approves it. Team leads can edit the credit terms of their team's customers.

At the counter

A credit sale above the limit needs a store manager's PIN on the same screen.

Get paid through your own gateway.

Connect Razorpay, Cashfree, PhonePe, Paytm or another gateway with your own account. The money goes straight to you.

How to control customer credit

Simple habits that keep money coming in.

  • Set a limit for every customer

A limit and credit days turn a conversation into a rule.

  • Review ageing every week

Overdue amounts are easier to collect while they are recent.

  • Hold, do not refuse

A hold lets a manager decide with the facts in front of them.

  • Send statements

A clear statement settles most disputes before they start.

  • Make paying easy

Payment links and UPI QR remove the delay between agreeing and paying.

  • Keep it in one system

When ledgers sit with invoices, nobody re-enters a balance.

Customers and Credit: your questions answered.

What happens when a customer crosses the limit?

The sale waits on hold until a store manager or admin approves it.

Do I need my own payment gateway?

For UPI QR, payment links and virtual accounts, yes. Collection uses your own gateway account, such as Razorpay, Cashfree, PhonePe or Paytm. You can always record receipts by hand.

Are reminders sent automatically?

No. You choose when to send a reminder.

Can I enter what customers owe me today?

Yes. Set an opening balance on each customer.

Is a customer shared between stores?

Yes. A customer belongs to the whole company. Money owed stays with the team that made each invoice.

Can I record TDS on a receipt?

Yes. Receipts can be recorded by cash, bank, UPI, cheque or TDS.

Can I import my customer list?

Yes. Upload a CSV with the columns Name, Mobile, E-mail and GSTIN.
