Create a product

The short product form for stores: price with GST, MRP, unit, HSN and opening stock.

Overview

The store product form creates a product with price including GST, MRP, unit, HSN and opening stock in one step.

Create a product

  1. 1Open Master Products and click New Product.
  2. 2Fill Product name, SKU and Unit. Choose Goods or service.
  3. 3Enter Selling price (incl. GST), MRP and Cost. Pick the GST rate; O2M suggests one from the HSN and price.
  4. 4Add Opening stock if you already hold some, then click Create product.

Good to know  Companies that also sell online first choose whether the product is for stores only or also listed on channels.

Units and loose goods

The Unit decides how the product is counted: pieces, kilograms, litres and so on. With loose goods switched on, items sold by weight or volume can be billed in decimals, such as 1.25 kg.
