Teams
Split a company into stores or sales teams that each see only their own work.
Overview
A team is a store or sales group that sees only its own orders, customers and reports.
What a team is
A team is a group of people with their own warehouses and sales sources: usually one store, or one sales desk such as a distributor's north and south teams. Members of a team see only the orders, invoices, customers' money owed and reports of their team. People in no team keep the access their role gives.
| Team member | Team lead | Admin | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orders, invoices, returns | Their team's | Their team's | Everyone's |
| Reports and dashboard figures | Only if the team allows it | Their team's | Everyone's |
| Stock of other stores | See, not change | See, not change | See and change |
| Customers | Find and bill any customer | Also edit credit terms of the team's customers | Everything |
| Orders shipped from another team's warehouse | Ask | Approve for their warehouse | Approve |

- 2Name it and choose the kind: Store or Sales team.
- 3Pick the Leads and Members.
- 4Pick the Warehouses the team sells from and the Sources its orders come in from.
- 5Tick Members can see reports if everyone in the team may see its figures, not just the leads.
- 6Click Save.
How work is split
- An order belongs to the team of the person who made it, and stays with it.
- A counter bill belongs to the team of the outlet's warehouse.
- A customer's money owed and payments stay with the team that made each invoice; the customer is shared across the company.
- When an order must ship from another team's warehouse, that team's lead approves it; the order stays with the team that took it.
Tip Teams are optional. A company with one store does not need them.
