Who can do what

The roles in an offline business, what each person sees when they sign in, and what they can change.

Overview

Roles decide what each person sees and can change; outlets and teams decide where they can do it.

Give someone access

  1. 1Open Settings → Team and Access → Users and click Invite Team Member.
  2. 2Enter their e-mail and choose the role. Cashiers use a cashier seat, everyone else a user seat.
  3. 3They accept the e-mail invitation and set a password.
  4. 4For a cashier or store manager, open Settings → Offline selling → Outlet staff and add them to their outlet.
  5. 5If you use teams, add them to their team (see Teams).

Good to know  A person sees only what both their role and your company's features allow. If a menu item is missing, check the role first, then ask your admin whether the feature is switched on.

Approvals

Each outlet sets how far a cashier can go on their own: discount %, price change %, refund amount, cash difference at shift close, and how many days after the sale a return is taken. Anything above a limit shows Store manager approval on the counter; a store manager picks their name and types their PIN on the same screen. The approver is saved on the bill, return or shift.
