What Catalogue Management is, how it fits with Master Products, and the limits of your plan.

Please reach out to your account manager to enable Catalogue Management for your company.

Overview

Catalogue Management is where products from suppliers and spreadsheets are collected and prepared before they become Master Products.

Before you begin

  • Catalogue Management is enabled for your company.

Why a catalogue comes before Master Products

Product data rarely arrives ready to sell. A supplier sends a spreadsheet with their own column names, codes, sizes written three different ways, and photos still to come. If that file went straight into Master Products, half-finished products would sit next to the ones you sell, and fixing them would mean editing live data.

Catalogue Management gives that data its own working area. Each catalogue holds products exactly as they came from the source. Your team fills the gaps, adds images and variants, and decides how each field fits O2M. Only when a product is complete do you export it to Master Products, where it gets its SKU and stock and can be listed on your channels.

What you get

  • Source data kept as it came: the supplier's columns, codes and SKUs stay in the catalogue, so you can always compare against the original.
  • Only real variants: if a supplier makes Black/Small, Black/Medium and White/Medium, those are the three variants O2M creates. Combinations nobody makes, such as White/Small, are never invented.
  • Catalogue-only fields: working notes such as photoshoot status or vendor remarks stay in the catalogue and never reach Master Products or a channel.
  • A preview before anything changes: export always shows what will be created, linked or updated first.
  • Re-imports you control: a new supplier file never overwrites a Master Product without your decision.

Good to know  Catalogue Management never lists anything on a channel. Listing is always a separate step from Master Products or Listings & Channels.

Default limits

Every company starts with these limits. Your O2M account manager can raise any of them.

LimitDefault
Catalogues per company10
Products per catalogue500
Variation axes per product (such as Size, Colour)6
Variants per product200
Custom catalogue fields100
Images per product or variant5 (JPEG, PNG or WebP)
Import file size10 MB (CSV or XLSX)
Rows per import file25,000

Good to know  Archived catalogues and products still count towards the limits. Deleting a product frees its place. When the limit is reached, Create catalogue is turned off and the page shows how many are used.
