Introduction

What dashboards are, the two kinds, and who can see and change them.

Overview

A dashboard is a page of metric cards and charts that shows your sales, orders, returns, stock and profit at a glance.

Why use it

  • See the numbers that matter as soon as you sign in.
  • Build your own views for a person, team or meeting.
  • Share one dashboard so the whole company looks at the same numbers.

Two kinds of dashboards

Figure 1.1  The Dashboards menu: the Company overview, your company's dashboards and New dashboard.

Every company has one Company overview, the dashboard that opens when you sign in. On top of it, your team can build custom dashboards: pages of the metric cards and charts that matter to one person, team or meeting.

Figure 1.2  Every card is one metric with its own settings. Charts come ready-made or are built from a metric.

Each card and chart reads the same orders, returns, products, listings and stock as the rest of O2M, so a dashboard number always matches the page it came from. Click a card to open that list with the same filters already applied.

What you can put on a dashboard

  • Orders and revenue: pending, confirmed and net revenue, orders, open and delivered orders, average order value, sales by marketplace.
  • Returns: returns, open returns and money refunded.
  • Products and stock: products, drafts, available units, low stock and out of stock.
  • Listings: active listings and sync errors.
  • Stock numbers: the headline numbers of a Stock report, such as stock-outs, backorders or count accuracy.
  • Accounting measures: profit, stock value and GST figures, when your company has those modules.

Good to know  Each person sees only the numbers their role allows. A shared dashboard can show a card to one person and hide it from another.
