The terms used on every O2M screen.
Overview
The key ideas are the terms every O2M screen uses: Master Products, SKUs, channels, listings, warehouses and roles.
Terms to know
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Company | Your business in O2M. All products, stock, orders and team members belong to it. |
| Master Product | The single O2M record of a product, with its Master SKU. Every listing points back to it. |
| Master SKU | The product's own code in O2M, made by your SKU rules or kept from your channel. |
| Variant | One size, colour or other option of a product, each with its own SKU and stock. |
| Channel (marketplace) | A marketplace or online store where you sell. |
| Listing | A Master Product as it appears on one channel. |
| Catalogue | A collection of products from a supplier or file, prepared before export to Master Products. |
| Warehouse | A place you keep stock. |
| Available stock | Units you can sell: on hand minus what is reserved or held. |
| Role | What a team member is allowed to see and do. |
One product, many channels
You change a product once, on its Master Product, and push the change to every channel it is listed on. Stock works the same way: one stock number in O2M, shared out to each channel by your rules, so the same unit is not sold twice.
