Setup checklist

Every setup step in order, with where to find it.

Overview

The setup checklist lists every step to get your company ready to sell through O2M, in the order to do them.

Before you begin

  • You can sign in to O2M.
  • You have your GSTIN and warehouse addresses to hand.

The checklist

Work through these steps once, in this order. Each step builds on the ones before it.

1–2. Company profile and GST

Your company name, address and GSTIN appear on invoices and reports. Each warehouse can have its own GSTIN and address. O2M checks every GSTIN as you type it, so a mistyped number is caught at once.

3. SKU rules

SKU rules decide how O2M builds a Master SKU for new products, for example a brand code, a category code and a running number. Set them before you add products, so every new SKU follows the same pattern.

Good to know  Products imported from a channel keep their channel SKU as the Master SKU. A rule SKU is made only when the channel SKU is blank or already used.

4. Currency and pricing

Set the currency your prices are kept in. Pricing rules let you work out channel prices from your base price, such as a percentage added for one channel.

5. Warehouses

Add every place you keep stock. Even with a single store room, add it as a warehouse: stock is always counted per warehouse.

6–7. Channels and products

Connect your channels next, then bring in your products. See Connect channels (marketplaces) and Add your first products.

8–9. Stock

Set the opening stock of each product in each warehouse, then decide how much of it each channel may show. Channel rules can keep a safety stock back, set a share per channel or cap what is listed.

10–11. Fulfilment and team

Set your shipping and label printing so orders can be packed and dispatched. Finally, invite the people who will work in O2M. See Invite your team.
