Answers to the questions customers ask most often about Inventory.
Why is a channel showing fewer units than I have?
Open the item page → What each channel shows. The usual reasons are a channel rule (safety stock, share, max listed, end when), a ring-fence for another channel, the location being fed by only some warehouses, units held for orders or reserved, or short-dated lots left out for that channel.
I changed stock on Amazon directly. Will O2M overwrite it?
No. O2M reads the change, records it as "Changed on Amazon", and passes it to your other channels. If O2M had also changed meanwhile, both changes are kept.
An order came in for something out of stock. What happens?
The order is accepted and the missing units become a backorder with an alert. It fills itself, oldest order first, as soon as stock arrives at a warehouse linked to that channel.
Can I undo an adjustment?
Make a new adjustment with the opposite change and a reason.
Why can't I delete a variant?
A variant with open order lines or unsellable units (damaged, on hold) cannot be removed, and neither can a variant that is a bundle component.
How do I see purchase prices and stock value?
You need the cost permission, or your company can allow people who manage purchase orders to see prices. Stock value is in the Accounting section.
