Introduction
What O2M Inventory does, what is included, and where to find it.
Overview
O2M Inventory is the stock-keeping part of O2M. It records how many units of every product and variant you hold, in which warehouse and in which state, and keeps every connected sales channel showing the right number.
Why use it
- See all your stock, across every warehouse and channel, in one place.
- Stop overselling: every sale updates every channel within moments.
- Know why every number is what it is, from the record of every change.
Before you begin
- Your products exist in Master Products with correct SKUs.
- At least one sales channel is connected.
What Inventory does
O2M Inventory brings everything about your physical goods into one place: how many units you have, where they are, what each sales channel is allowed to sell, and how every sale, return and correction changed your numbers. It is built into O2M, so the products, listings and orders you already manage are the same ones Inventory works with. There is nothing to import twice and nothing to keep in step by hand.
What is included
Inventory is arranged in layers, so a small seller can start simply and grow into a full warehouse operation without changing systems.
- Stock tracking (always on): every sale, cancellation, return and stock edit is recorded, and your channels are kept up to date, whether or not you open the Stock screens.
- Inventory: the overview, the stock ledger, adjustments with approval, CSV import and export, reservations, returned items, channel stock rules and the basic stock reports.
- Optional Inventory pages: Counts, Lots and expiry, Bundles and kits, Reorder suggestions and Advanced reporting, enabled as you need them.
- Warehouse Management: more warehouses, transfers, bins, purchasing, receiving, picking, packing and dispatch. See the Warehouse management guide.
Good to know To enable Inventory pages or add-ons, contact your O2M account manager. Features that are not enabled do not appear in the menu or in Settings.
First steps checklist
- 1Check that your products are in Master Products with correct SKUs. Stock is matched to channels by SKU.
- 2Open Stock → Inventory → Overview. Your current stock is already there: O2M opened every item with the stock it already knew.
- 3Correct any wrong numbers with Adjust or a CSV import.
- 4Open Settings → Stock → Channel locations to see each channel's locations and choose a main location.
- 5Optionally set Channel rules such as safety stock.
