What the page shows
Stock → Inventory → Reorder suggestions tells you what to buy and what to move, for every item in every warehouse. Suggestions are kept up to date for you; click Calculate again at any time.
For each item and warehouse it shows units sold in the last 7, 30 and 90 days, average daily demand, days of cover, the reorder point, the order-up-to level and the suggestion.
How suggestions are worked out
- Reorder point = daily demand × supplier lead time + safety stock. Safety stock grows with how uneven demand is and with your service level (for example 95%, meaning you aim to be in stock 95% of the time).
- Order-up-to level = reorder point + daily demand × days between your orders.
- When available + incoming + in transit − backorders falls to the reorder point, O2M suggests bringing it back up to the order-up-to level: first by transfer from a warehouse with more than it needs, then by purchase, rounded up to the supplier's minimum order and pack size.
- Each item gets an ABC class (A = the items making the top 80% of your sales value) and an XYZ class (X = steady demand, Z = erratic).
Acting on suggestions
Tick suggestions and click Create purchase orders (one draft per supplier and warehouse), Create transfers, or Raise requisition instead. Drafts already raised count as on the way, so suggestions are not repeated.
Override the calculation per item and warehouse with a rule: fixed min and max, safety stock, lead time or days between reorders. Company defaults are in Settings → Stock → Stock settings → Planning.
Good to know An Inventory-only company sees suggestions and can export them; creating purchase orders and transfers needs Warehouse Management.
Ageing and dead stock
The Ageing and dead stock report groups units on hand by days since the item last sold (or arrived, for what never sold) in six age bands. Dead stock is stock with no sale and no arrival within your dead-stock window (90 days by default).
