Returned items

Decide what happens to every returned unit before it goes back on sale.

Overview

Returned items is the list of returned units waiting for a decision, for companies without Warehouse Management. A returned unit never goes back on sale by itself; someone confirms what came back.

Why use it

  • Keep stock right when a return never actually arrives.
  • Separate sellable returns from damaged ones.
  • See returns waiting too long.

Before you begin

  • Not shown when Warehouse Management is enabled; returns are graded in Returns QC instead.

Returns are always checked

A returned unit never goes back on sale by itself. It waits in QC hold until someone decides what to do with it. This keeps your stock right when a return never actually arrives.

Without Warehouse Management, returned units are listed in Stock → Inventory → Returned items. With Warehouse Management, returns are received and graded in Returns QC instead.

Deciding a return

For each returned item, choose:

  • Add to stock: the unit is back and sellable. It becomes Available and channels are updated.
  • Damaged: the unit came back but cannot be sold.
  • Not received: the unit never arrived. It is written off.

Returns waiting more than 15 days are shown in red.
