Overview
A transfer moves stock from one of your warehouses to another, with the delivery challan or tax invoice and e-way bill details Indian transport needs. Units are in transit until the destination receives them.
Why use it
- Rebalance stock between warehouses.
- Keep the transport paperwork with the movement.
- Record what arrived good, damaged or lost.
Before you begin
- Warehouse Management is enabled and you have at least two warehouses.
- Each warehouse has its address and GSTIN.
The life of a transfer
Transfers are part of Warehouse Management, so they appear once your company has more than one warehouse.

Making a transfer
- 1Click New transfer, choose the source and destination warehouses, and add items (optionally naming a lot).
- 2Enter the documents: delivery challan or tax invoice number (O2M suggests an invoice when the warehouses have different GSTINs), date, e-way bill number and date, vehicle number, transporter and declared value.
- 3Dispatch it. Units leave the source's Available stock and show as In transit at the destination. The source's channels are updated at once.
Receiving a transfer
- 1At the destination, Receive good, damaged and lost units per line. You can receive in several parts.
- 2When nothing is left in transit the transfer closes itself, or Close it to write off what never arrived as lost in transit.
Good units become Available at the destination, its channels are updated and open backorders fill. The delivery challan PDF can be downloaded, and a copy is kept for audit.
