Please reach out to your account manager to enable Warehouse Management for your company.
Overview
O2M Warehouse Management runs the physical side of your business inside O2M: warehouses and bins, buying from suppliers, receiving, putaway, picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
Why use it
- Run your warehouse floor in the same system as your orders and channels.
- Ship faster with picklists, scan-verified packing and manifests.
- Buy and receive goods with approvals and supplier invoice matching.
Before you begin
- Warehouse Management is enabled for your company.
- Inventory is set up and your stock numbers are correct.
What Warehouse Management does
O2M Warehouse Management runs the physical side of your business: the warehouses you hold stock in, the bins on their shelves, the goods you buy from suppliers, and every order that is picked, packed and handed to a courier. It is built into O2M, so the products, listings and orders you already manage are the same ones the warehouse works with.
It adds the following to O2M Inventory:
- More than one warehouse, and transfers between them.
- Zones, bins and bin labels.
- Suppliers, requisitions, purchase orders, supplier invoices and returns to vendor.
- Goods receipts with quality checks, and putaway into bins.
- Picklists, packing, tax invoices, manifests and the dispatch board.
- Returns inward, grading and claims.
- The scanner app for phones and handheld scanners.
Good to know To enable Warehouse Management or an add-on, or to raise the number of warehouses on your account, contact your O2M account manager. Features that are not enabled do not appear in the menu or in Settings.
Two ways a warehouse can run
Each warehouse runs in one of two modes. You can switch at any time; no data is moved or lost.
| Channel mode (default) | Warehouse Management mode | |
|---|---|---|
| Who runs the floor | Your team, outside O2M | O2M: bins, picklists, pack station, manifests |
| Where units sit | In the warehouse, no bins | Every unit in a bin |
| When stock leaves | When the channel reports the order shipped | When the parcel is handed to the courier on a manifest |
| Returns | Wait in Inventory → Returned items | Received and graded in Returns QC |
First steps checklist
- 1Check that your products are in Master Products with correct SKUs. Stock is matched to channels by SKU.
- 2Add your warehouses in Settings → Stock → Warehouses and link each one to the channel locations it supplies.
- 3Create zones and bins in Locations and bins, and print bin labels.
- 4Add your suppliers and what each of them supplies.
- 5Invite your floor team with the right roles, and limit people to their warehouses where needed.
- 6Put existing stock into bins and switch the warehouse to Warehouse Management mode.
