Manifests and handover
Hand parcels to the courier and tell every channel the order has shipped.
Overview
A manifest is the list of parcels handed to one courier at one pickup. Handing a manifest over is the moment stock leaves your warehouse and every channel is told the order shipped.
Why use it
- Record exactly what each courier collected.
- Confirm shipment to every channel with courier and AWB.
- Keep a signed record of each handover.
What a manifest is
A manifest is the list of parcels handed to one courier at one pickup. Handover is the moment stock leaves your warehouse. Manifests are always started and handed over by a person, so stock only leaves when the courier has actually collected.
Creating a manifest
The Manifests page lists parcels that are packed and waiting for a manifest, grouped by courier, with one-click Start manifest or Add to an open manifest.
- 1Open Outbound → Manifests → New manifest and choose the courier.
- 2Add all its packed parcels, or scan parcels by AWB or parcel number (scanner app: Dispatch screen).
Handing over
- 1When the courier arrives, enter who collected and the vehicle number.
- 2Click Hand over (you are asked twice).
- 3Every parcel is dispatched together: units leave stock, orders with nothing left in the warehouse become Shipped, and a signed manifest PDF is kept.
Ship confirmation
O2M then tells each channel the order shipped, with courier and AWB: Shopify (the customer is notified), Amazon and Flipkart. If a channel refuses, the parcel shows the reason with Try again, and an alert is raised.
Important In a Warehouse Management warehouse, a channel saying "shipped" does not remove the units; they leave at handover. If a channel says an order was delivered or lost, O2M follows it immediately.
