Today and the dispatch board

See the day's work at a glance and the orders that must leave first.

Overview

Today is the warehouse's front page with the day's work at a glance. The dispatch board lists every order still in the warehouse, most urgent first, with the step it is waiting at.

Why use it

  • Start every shift knowing what is waiting.
  • Ship late and due-soon orders first.
  • Spot blocked work early.

Today

Stock → Warehouse Management → Today is the warehouse's front page and updates as work happens. It shows:

Figure 13.1  Warehouse Management → Today.
  • Tiles for units expected, receipts waiting for a quality check, open putaway tasks, orders to dispatch, parcels packed and returns being graded (over 48 hours marked overdue).
  • Dispatch today by channel.
  • Needs attention: late orders, failed ship confirmations and short picks.
  • Active picklists.
  • Floor today: orders handed over per channel, units picked per hour, units put away, dock-to-stock time and returns graded.

Dispatch-by times

Each order has a time it must leave the warehouse by. Amazon and Flipkart give their ship-by time; for other channels it is the order time plus your dispatch hours (24 by default, in Settings → Stock → Stock settings → Dispatch).

The dispatch board

Outbound → Dispatch board lists every order still in the warehouse, most urgent first, with its dispatch-by time, time left, and the step it is waiting at: to release, picking, to pack, packing, to manifest, or to hand over.

Cards at the top filter by urgency (late, due soon, on time) and by step. Due soon means within 4 hours by default. Orders waiting only for stock can be shown too (a setting).
